How to raise pH in your pool?
You may have heard of baking soda to raise your pH levels. Baking soda, also known as sodium bicarbonate, is actually a chemical used to improve the total alkalinity of the pool water, and has a small impact on pH levels. If there is not enough total alkalinity in your pool, you can use it to increase the total alkalinity.
In general, we often use sodium carbonate as a pH Plus. Sodium carbonate, also soda ash, when added to water, can improve the pH and the total alkalinity of the pool water. Before using it, test the current pH of the pool to determine the correct dosage.
