The dosage of these chemicals used should be adjusted according to the actual pool pH to avoid excessive use resulting in water quality imbalance. After adjusting the pH, it is also necessary to adjust the total alkalinity to the normal range of 60-180ppm.
03/ Pool Shock Chemicals
Pool Shock, also known as chlorine shock or super chlorination, is a method of rapidly increasing the concentration of disinfectants in the pool water by adding large amounts of chlorine in a short period of time. They can gather suspended substances in swimming pools into large clumps and then remove them through precipitation and filtration, thus keeping the pool water clear and transparent. After adding flocculants, it is necessary to wait for some time (usually a few hours to overnight) for the flocculant to work and for the suspended particles to settle. Then an underwater vacuum cleaner can be used to clean up sediments. Clarifiers work the same way as flocculants, but instead of settling and vacuuming, the floc will be filtered by the sand tank.
