After adding flocculants, it is necessary to wait for some time (usually a few hours to overnight) for the flocculant to work and for the suspended particles to settle. Then an underwater vacuum cleaner can be used to clean up sediments. Clarifiers work the same way as flocculants, but instead of settling and vacuuming, the floc will be filtered by the sand tank.
